Easter Bunnies

Hi there! I have not been on here in a few weeks as I've been so busy with life! But I do want to share a few bunnies I decorated for Easter last Sunday.
I was visiting a few of my favorite blogs and came across this idea. I googled bunny images, saved them to my computer so I could size them, then printed and traced them onto chipboard and decorated them.

I used papers from Graphic 45 Secret Garden along with the chipboard tags. Ribbons, twine, flowers and buttons are from my stash.

They make a really sweet table decoration. I had them standing in a tray lined with "grass" - you know the kind you fill Easter baskets with? Along with some decorative Easter eggs - turned out really cute. But I never took a picture of it!
This coming Wednesday we find out the sex of my future grandbaby! I'm so excited!
Have a wonderful week ahead~

Desintation wedding

The temps are mild but it is a rainy, Sunday morning. A good day to spend it in your craft room as I will be.

I have another pocket mini album to share today. I have been asked to make 6 of these for a bride that is giving them to her bridesmaids as a thank you gift. She is having a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico.

Since I don't have a die that spells out the word 'Memories', I pulled out my Cricket and cut out each letter using the Cursive 101 Cricket cartridge. As you can see, I have to redo the placement of those letters but just wanted to showcase the front cover of the album. I made the flourishes using a Spellbinder's die. The flowers are from my stash - probably Petaloo, Prima and Recollections brands, as are the pearl gems. The doily is from Michael's.

Here is a snapshot of the spine. The chipboard heart was painted white and I added fine glitter which you can't see in this picture.

Here is a top view of the album showing the 6 pages. The album measures 6x6 and the spine is 2 3/4 wide.
The next zillion pictures are of all the pages inside the album. I used Bazzil cardstock and Simple Stories You Are Here 6x6 paper pad along with the many embellishments that are available with this paper line.

The pattern papers that say Mexico and Cancun are NOT from this paper line. I ordered them separately from Scrapbook.com. I'm not sure who makes them.

I made the waterfall folio which will hold another 9 photos and/or journaling pages.

I love the chipboard frames that are available with the paper line. I only adhered the bottom of the frame to the cardstock so you can slip a picture in from the top.

...and more tags.

Each page has a side pocket holding a 5.5 x 5.5 photo mat. Can you see the yellowish colored photo mat sticking out?

I made this tag using the Bazzil pink cardstock, a journaling card and added the heart lace trim and pink twine.

This is the inside back cover which I made a pocket and added more journaling cards. I really enjoyed putting this album together and I hope the girls will fill it with lots of photos and memories!

That is it from me. Enjoy your Sunday and the rest of the week ahead.

Masculine birthday

Good morning! I'm sharing a birthday card I made a few weeks ago for another coworker who asked me to make him a couple cards for some guy friends. I don't know about you, but I have a tough time making cards for men. Little boys - not so much! I'm not sure what I'm going to do when my nephews become young adults!

I used Kraft cardstock for the base of my card. Black CS is from Stampin Up. Pattern paper is from Simple Stories "Aweso[ME]".

The sentiment and the image of the tool box and tools are older stamp sets by Stampin Up. I used the circle framelits from Stampin Up. I made the tag myself using scraps of cardstock from my stash. I wrapped some black twine up and down the horizontal side of the card and added some black gems.

I have some exciting news to share!! I'm going to be a grandma!!

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Eat cake

Good morning! Are you enjoying the warm weather where you live? Chicago is having fantastic weather. We are enjoying temperatures in the upper 50's. I got outside yesterday and cleaned up all the debris that flew into my yard from the day before. Very windy - up to 70 mph wind gusts! But hey, it was warm wind gusts - lol!

Tuesday was my daughter's 28th birthday. Below is the card I made for her.

I used the new Stampin Up embossing folder "Confetti". Using 4 different ink pads, I sponged ink over the embossed parts.
I tied a ribbon and bow around the panel and adhered it to the base of my card. Using Spellbinders Lacy Ovals, I die cut the center and stamped my sentiment.

And here is a look on the inside ..

That's all from me. Enjoy your Sunday.

Be Mine

Happy Valentine's Day!
Popping in to share another Valentine gift card holder along with a Valentine Card for my godson.

Red cardstock is from Stampin Up. Pattern paper is from Martha Stewart.

I punched out the heart from pink glitter paper, adhered the heart, lock and key to
a white scallop circle.

Here is my godson's Valentine card. I started by die cutting red cardstock using Spellbinders Cascading Hearts Shapeabilities. I adhered it to a white panel and tied red/white twine around it before adhering it to a black card base.

I used PTI's  Limitless Layers 2 1/4 Heart Dies and popped it up on the front of the card, added a button with twine.

Not too girly looking for a boy!!

Today our weather report is calling for snow, lots of it. It's 10:00 a.m. and nothing yet. One can only hope.....Happy Valentine's Day !!

Valentine gift card holders

I can hardly believe tomorrow is February 1st! Which means it's time to start crafting for Valentines Day - one of my favorite holidays!
I've been asked to make a few gift card holders so now's a good time to start!

These are quick and easy and are held closed by a belly band.

I used a few circle and scallop punches and popped them up with foam adhesive squares over the belly band seam. Easy peasy! I added some red stickles to the scallop punch cutout as it seemed too plain.
We are having some mild weather here so now is a good time to go wash the car and vacuum it out!
Have a good week ahead!

Cameo

Happy Sunday! Here in Chicago land, we are trying to stay warm. We have a wind chill advisory in effect for tonight so I'll be staying indoors.
I started out making a birthday card with an image displayed on my computer screen for some inspiration but my card ended up totally different! I'm not sure if I like it. It seems to need something more but I don't know what! Any suggestions?

I embossed a white panel and layered it on a piece of purple cardstock. I then wrapped a piece of purple ribbon around the 2 panels and adhered it to my card front.

As I was reorganizing - again - I came across a package of cameos and thought I would somehow incorporate it onto my card. I took a large filigree from Butterbee Scraps and using a strong adhesive, glued one of the cameos onto it and centered it over the ribbon. It still needed something so I added the 2 purple pearls in opposite corners of the card.

That is it from me. Back to the craft table to work on some more cards! Stay warm folks!
