Waterfalls...

Hi everyone,
Yet another week has come and gone. Before you know it, fall will be here. I have noticed a lot of blogs I visit are already showing Halloween projects. Yikes!

I came across a tutorial video on making water fall cards and mini albums. The above waterfall card was made using scraps of cardstock and pattern paper I found in my Halloween tote. The stamped images are from a Stampin Up Halloween set titled Batty for You. To see the video, you can go to www.dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com; click on Dawn's videos (found on the right side margin) and this one was dated September, 2010. I had so much fun making this card and can't wait to make more using different themes.

Lots of August birthdays in my family so  once again, I hosted our annual August birthday party. It was a milestone birthday for me which I won't discuss - hahaha!
Another tutorial video I found was on making waterfall folio mini albums. I have made 5 over the last few weeks. 4 of them were given as gifts at the August birthday party!

This first one uses papers from the Melissa Frances 'Kitschy Kitchen' line. There are plenty of pockets to store bits and bobs and lots of places to add photos and journaling. Or in this case, recipes!

This album uses Echo Park 'Sisters' line and Graphic 45 'Botanical Tea'. All the albums had a gift card tucked away in one of the pockets! I also made a sports themed album for my nephew using Graphic 45 'Good Ole Sport' line. I printed off pictures I had taken during the baseball season and adhered some of them to the waterfall flaps. I'll leave the journaling to him!
You can find the tutorial video on Ginger Ropp's blog www.mysistersscrapper.com. On the right side of her blog, go to the Archived posts and click on July, 2014. Scroll down to her post on July 6th. These too are so much fun to make. So many ideas and themes are rolling around in my brain!! I can't wait to get started on more.
I hope this gets you excited to start making these projects as it did me!
Have a great weekend~
