Christmas this and that

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already! I have so much more crafting to do and I don't want to put away my Christmas 'stuff' yet!
Here are a few more cards I managed to create and get sent out in the mail in time for Christmas!

All supplies used are from Stampin Up except the Tim Holz embossing folder used in card #3.

Steering away from Christmas for a bit, I have a birthday card to share with you too. I have 2 nieces with December birthdays. Only remembered to photograph one of them!

Supplies used are from Simple Stories Happy Day line.

And last but not least, my crazy kids on Christmas morning~ the girls love wearing their onesies-but only on Christmas! This year we have a penguin and the Grinch.

And the 3 of them opening their gifts:

You know how I attend all my Godson's baseball games, right? My new stadium chair! Love it!

Enjoy your Sunday. For me, it's my last day of vacation. I go back to work tomorrow but I don't mind at all. This last week of 2015 will be quiet.
Happy New Year to all!

Merry

Today I'm sharing one of many Christmas cards I've made over the last couple of weeks using some Stampin Up products. I embossed some red cardstock using a Tim Holz folder and adhered it to a white 4 x 5 1/2 card. Using some pattern paper from Stampin Up's  Home for Christmas, I cut out the Christmas tree scene and adhered it behind the window pane which is also from Stampin Up. I punched out some pine branches and added red gems for the holly berries. I also die cut the word merry from a die collection of holiday words from Stampin Up and adhered it at the bottom of the window pane.

I am having lots of fun making Christmas cards, gift card holders and mini albums! I really don't want to have to pack all my Christmas papers and embellishments away just yet!

Last week we started a new tradition. All my sisters and I, along with our daughters got together and baked Christmas cookies! So much fun! Below is me trying to attempt a selfie of me and my daughter Dana! You can see a batch of cookies in the background waiting to go into the oven!.

In case I don't pop back on anymore this week, have a very, merry Christmas!

Calendars

Just popping in on a Monday - have a couple days off this week - to share this cute little calendar I made to give away as part of my secret santa gift for work.

It came together so fast I made 3 more!

It's a great way to use up all your scraps. I just added some pretty embellishments and stamped a sentiment that is good for all year round.

Yesterday we took the littles into the city to see Blue Man Group. It was the first time they ever rode on a real train. We first went to an Italian pizzeria for lunch and then cabbed it over to the theatre. Afterwards, we cabbed it down to Macy's on State Street to see all the beautiful window displays. They were in awe of the hustle and bustle of the big windy city! What beautiful memories they will have for years to come!

Have a good week ahead!

Joy

Happy Thanksgiving weekend.  I hope your holiday was filled with family and loved ones. Mine has been pretty quiet. I had dinner at my sister's house with a few family members. Then we all met up at my nieces for dessert. I avoided the shops and malls on Black Friday and stayed home putting up the Christmas tree and decorations.
I spent part of the weekend in my craft room making another pocket mini album using the Simple Stories Claus & Co. I have oodles of pictures to share with you so sit back and get comfy!

 This album measures 6 x 6 with a 2 3/4 inch spine.
Top view - it has 6 pages
I created a pocket on the inside front and back covers.
I used bits and pieces, enamel dots...

 chipboard stickers and frames...

 pockets and tags...

I created a waterfall folio which will hold 7+ pictures...

Lots of places for journaling your pictures ..
 More chipboard frames and tags....

 another pull-down for additional pictures

Back cover with more tags and photo mats.
And each page has a 5 x 5 photo mat ....
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Your kind comments are appreciated!
That's it from me. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. It's back to work tomorrow for me!

Softly falling...

Good Sunday morning to you. Chicago land had our first snow fall of the season yesterday. It actually started Friday night and snowed all through the night and all day Saturday. I live south of the city so we did not get as much accumulation as those north of me. I got around 5-6". I love the first snow fall - especially when it is over the weekend and I don't have to drive in it!

Speaking of snow fall, my first Christmas card of the season I made using Stampin Up's embossing folder Softly Falling.  This is so beautiful and so many different ways you can use it.

I took a piece of white cardstock and embossed it with the Softly Falling folder. I punched out some stars using Stampin Up's silver glitter paper and adhered them to the white cardstock around that beautiful poinsettia flower I made. Can you believe this flower was made with one punch? It's called the Festive Flower Builder punch. Love it! I'm going to try it next using vellum. I sprinkled fine silver glitter around the edges of the leaves.

I die cut the word peace using the same silver glitter paper, tied some red and white twine around the white cardstock and topped the bow off with a button. I then adhered this to a red 4 x 5.5 card base.

Now that I am finally in the mood to create, I think I'm going back to the craft table to see what else I can make with all my new goodies!
Enjoy the week ahead~
Peace

Twas the night before Christmas waterfall album

I have another waterfall folio album to share with you today. It's a new style for me and I had so much fun putting it together. I am on a mission to use up all my older Christmas paper packs before I start buying more!
This album is using an older Graphic 45 paper line - "Twas the night before Christmas".
I have lots of pictures to share to sit back and enjoy!

This is the front cover - measures 8.5 x 11 and the spine is 3/4" x 11". It has a magnetic closure.

I used a decorative filigree from Butterbee Scraps and added the red gemstone to the center for some bling.

I did not add too many embellishments to the front cover as the pattern paper is busy enough.
This is a picture of the album when opened. This album will hold up to 43 pictures!
Starting with the left side of the opened album, the photo mats open vertically.
I kept the embellishments to a minimum to prevent bulkiness and I wanted to make sure it would stay shut with the magnetic closure.

Chipboard and cardstock tags and stickers were only adhered on one side, The reason for this is to be able to slide a full size picture behind the chipboard tag.
The largest photo mat can hold a 5x7 picture!

You can't see it in the pictures, but I added red stickles to all the holly berries.

Here is the right side where the mats are horizontal:

I found this style album on Arlene Cuevas' blog. Here's the link to her Snapguide tutorial.

That is it for me. Time for me to get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having in Chicagoland!
