Still Sew Cute

Hello on this early Sunday evening! I am popping in to share a sweet birthday card using the Maya Road Still Sew Cute chipboard set.
I had forgotten I had this set until I had envisioned a card I needed to make for a friend who designs her own clothes and patterns.

I stamped 'birthday wishes' on the Graphic 45 sticker which I popped up on a scallop circle. I painted all the chipboard pieces with a cream colored acrylic paint, distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Tim Holz. I dressed up the dress form with a piece of pleated ribbon by Melissa Francis and added pearl gems for the 'necklace'.

I painted the needle with silver sparkle paint and inserted it through the 'thread' which is red twine that I wrapped around the spool. I added a piece of 'measuring tape' at the bottom.

Here is my sweet grandson in one of his valentine day outfits!

That's it from me. Enjoy your week ahead!

Praying for you...

Good Sunday afternoon to you all!
I'm so excited as I'm going to a Chicago Blackhawk's game tonight! The hours are dragging by so to help pass the time, I made a couple of sympathy cards.
We all hate to make them but unfortunately we have to. Recently I had a friends father pass away. I decided to make a few sympathy cards now rather than later.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock and popped it up with dimensionals onto a white card base. I stamped my image and sentiment with gray ink and adhered it to gray cardstock - all by Stampin Up. I used deminsionals again to adhere it to the embossed piece.
I stamped my butterfly with gray ink and punch it out. Added pearls and glued it onto the front.

Using the same stamp set by Stampin Up, I used colored markers to color the tree using brown and teal markers. I stamped it on a piece of white cardstock along with the sentiment. I sponged the edges with Tim Holz Vintage photo distress ink. I adhered it to a piece of taupe colored cardstock and popped it up on an embossed Teal card base.

On this card, I stamped the background with 3 different shades of blue using Gorgeous Grunge stamp set by Stampin Up. Using brown ink, I stamped the tree and sentiment and adhered it to navy cardstock. Tied a blue and white polka dotted piece of ribbon around it and tied a bow and adhered it all to a white card base. They're all clean and simple and quickly put together.

I am closing with yet another sweet picture of baby Bradley -

Have a wonderful week ahead~

Happy New Year-2017

Are you ready for a new year?  A fresh, new start?  I happen to love new beginnings and a clean slate! As a matter of fact, I have already started to clean out my craft room. The first 5 minutes I had already filled a box! I'm saving the Christmas totes for last. I just can't put them away yet.

I made another gift box of tags, cards and goodies which makes the 3rd one.

I used an old Christmas paper line from Stampin Up called Christmas Jingle.

Each compartment holds 4 long tags...

4 cards...

..and 4 square tags.

The 3 small compartments on the side will hold any edible treats if you so chose or any bits and bobs you want to fill it with.

That's it from me. Back to 'out with the old; in with the new' - cleaning out my craft room.

Here is a sweet picture of my son and grandson taken at the pediatrician's office during the baby's 4 month checkup a couple of weeks ago.

Have a great week ahead!
