Mini Pocket Album

Hi there,
I finally finished my first mini pocket album. I follow Ginger Ropp's blog and she does some beautiful mini album tutorials - like those beautiful waterfall folio albums I've been posting!

This is the front cover using the Graphic 45 paper line Twas the Night Before Christmas. Love, love, love this paper! I took about 23 crappy pictures but I promise I won't bore you with all of them since I am not a photographer!

This is the one of the pocket pages using the tags, chipboard and cut aparts that come with the set.

The top flap opens and it too can be use as a photo page. Some of these papers are just too busy but gorgeous to add any more embellishments. Less is more ...

This is a better picture showing an actual pocket! I used black cardstock for the construction of the album and coordinating colored cardstock for photo mounts.

This is another tag from the collection. I just added some red stickles for some sparkle!

Another page using coordinating chipboard accents, tags and cut aparts.

In addition to pocket pages, there is also a tag page. Slide out the tags from their pockets and use as more photo mounts.

This is the last page. Ginger shows how to make these closures.

And this is the page when it is opened. 3 more places to add pictures! I didn't show all the pages but the album has a total of 6 pocket pages. Not only is the tutorial about how to make the pocket pages but also how to make the binding that holds all 6 pages.

I really enjoyed making this album. Now I just have to figure out who the lucky recipient will be to receive this pocket album!

I want to make another, but I need to buckle down and make my Christmas cards and get them mailed!

That is all from me for today. Enjoy your Sunday and the rest of your week!

Thanksgiving

Hello and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I celebrated by cooking a turkey with all the trimmings and had some family members to share it all with. My Godson stayed over from Thanksgiving night through today. We watched a few Hallmark Christmas movies, put up my Christmas tree and decorations. We did a bit of crafting and I even managed to get in a little Christmas shopping!

I made another waterfall folio using the Graphic 45 "Couture" collection. It was a gift from me to a friend who's grandmother was celebrating her 90-something birthday! Take a look:

I have made so many of these I think I can do it in my sleep! I found another tutorial on how to make pocket mini albums. That is what I have been working on for about 2 weeks now. Can't wait to finish it! Then I can start making my Christmas cards and get them in the mail. Busy, busy, busy! Love it!!
That is all from me for now. Have a great week ahead~

Sunday, Funday

Hello~
It has been a lazy Sunday for me. Spent the morning reading a book I just picked up from the library over a few cups of coffee. Then I strolled into my craft room and pulled out a couple of Christmas paper packs that just came in the mail.

They're Graphic 45's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas line. I've had the 12x12 pad but I am saving that for making mini albums. So I ordered the 8x8 and 6x6 paper pads to make cards with.

I used ivory cardstock from Michael's for the base of the card, the pom pom trim and green rhinestones are from my stash.

Again, ivory cardstock is from Michaels, ribbon from My Craft Spot and the berry spray clusters are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

My dinner is in the oven, I'm cleaning up the craft table and am settling in to watch my favorite sports team on tv -  the Chicago Blackhawks!
Until next week ~

One more to go...

Happy Sunday once again! Chicago land had our first snowfall this year on Halloween! I felt so sorry for the little ghosts and goblins that braved the frigid cold & wind.

I finished my 4th waterfall folio album and decided to make one more. These are going to be Christmas gifts for friends. Take a peek ~

Again, I'm using Graphic 45 collection "By The Sea". I absolutely love this paper! And everything that comes with it - chipboard, tags & pockets not to mention the beautiful pattern papers.

All that is left to do is download and print the pictures that will be mounted.

I'm starting to haul out all the bins containing Christmas papers, embellishments and every possible thing that goes with the holidays! Can't wait to get started.

That is it from me today. I need to get outside and take down all the Halloween decorations and put away until next year while the weather is cooperating.
Have a great week ahead!

French Country

Oh dear me! Where did October go? It's less than a week before we celebrate Halloween!

I'm popping in to show you what has been keeping me busy - Graphic 45's paper line 'French Country'. I think this line is retired although some internet stores may have a couple pieces left.
I made this card using the pattern papers from the 8x8 collection along with their pocket & tag pieces and chipboard buttons. The rosette flower I made using scraps from the leftover paper.

In my previous posts, I've displayed numerous waterfall folio mini albums.  Here is another one using French Country ~

This mini album is going to be a Christmas gift to a friend of mine that collects roosters! I know she will love it. All I have to do is print off some pictures and mount them. She can add her own journaling.

That's all from me on this beautiful fall Sunday here in Chicagoland. Have a great week ahead of you!

Reunited

Happy Sunday everyone!
I'm so excited that my local Stampin Up rep is back in my area and doing more events. Stampin Up is one of my favorite companies to learn from and buy supplies. I attended last weeks event and we made shaker cards.

This is the one we made in 'class' and of course I had to have this stamp set so I ordered it but has not come in yet. In the mean time, I improvised using what I have on hand....

If I were to do this card over, I would make a slimmer frame. I'm still learning how to use these dies as frames - hahaha! Love the sequins - got to have more of these in every color...oh boy!

Tomorrow is my baby sister's birthday - going over to her house today for dinner and celebrations!

I did a total overhaul in my craft room. I filled 3 boxes of card stock, pattern papers, stamps, tools and embellishments and donated it to my daughter's girlfriend who is just getting started in this craft. I came across so much stuff that I forgot I had! Both of the cards above used supplies that I've had laying around.

One more card I made using everything from my stash - another cascade card for Halloween.

That's all from me today. I'm working on more waterfall folio mini albums to be given as Christmas gifts. I recently just finished one using the Melissa Frances line 'Sweet Life' but forgot to take pictures of it. It's already in the mail on its way to a good friend of mine who lives in Boston.
Have a wonderful week ahead~

Raffle

Happy fall everyone! Here in Chicago land we have been having some gorgeous weather - mid to upper 70's. I think yesterday may have hit 80 degrees. I love, love, love this weather!

The company I work for is a sponsor for United Way. Last week we had our kick off to raise money for ALS. Yes, there were ice bucket challenges but in addition, we asked all the surrounding businesses in our area to donate something for our raffle. Not that I have my own business, but I was approached and asked to donate some type of paper crafts. So I have been busy packaging Halloween cards, Christmas cards, thank you cards and of course my waterfall folio mini albums!

And of course a birthday themed album~

Here are a couple birthday cards I made as a request from a couple friends needing them. I've also been reorganizing and cleaning out all my space and cubby holes. I've come across papers I forgot I had so I started pulling them out to use them.

A friend of mine was in town for business but we were able to meet up for dinner before she had to fly back to California. Her birthday was in July so I made this mini album with her in mind. Other than the flowers and doily on the cover, all papers and embellishments are from Graphic 45 A Time To Celebrate.

Sorry for the poor photography.
That's all from me. Enjoy your day and happy Fall!
