Celebrate today

Hello! Just popping in to share a birthday card I made for a friend that I work with. Her real birthday is Thursday, 5/30, but she has had all of us celebrating it all month!

I used pattern papers and a card stock image from the Authentique "Grace" collection. Doily die cut and stamped sentiment are from Papertrey Ink and heat embossed using Ranger Seafoam white embossing powder, self adhesive pearls are from Hero Arts, pearl stick pin is Prima, ribbon and flower are from Michaels. The coral colored cardstock is from Stampin Up and lacey punch is Martha Stewart.

I had a landscaper come during the week to cut down a tree that was dying, pulled out some dead bushes, trimmed and shaped the boxwoods, added garden soil, mulch, edged, trimmed trees - front and back yards - the whole package! It looks so manicured!
Here are a couple of pictures of the front and side:

And the back:

Now I have lots of bare spots that need to be filled in. So I am on my way out to visit some local nurseries to get ideas and see what is available out there.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Graduation

It's been quite some time since I've posted thanks to my computer problems! My BIL looked at my laptop for me and thought he had fixed it. But no, nothing is ever that simple! So my daughter took it to work with her and the IT person had it for a few days. Long story short, he got it up and running but advised me to start looking for a new one. I'm sure you heard of the saying: "when it rains, it pours"!  I have encountered a few other roadblocks in the last couple weeks but I'll save that for another post-heehee!

My great niece and nephew have graduated 8th grade this year. They are my late sister's grandchildren. My, how the years fly by! So in honor of their happy day, I pulled out my Graphic 45 "ABC Primer" collection. Both cards are CAS.

For Cameryn:

And for Brendon:

Lastly, a quick picture of Jake & his fiancĂ© Joanna outside of the church after making his confirmation a few Sundays ago:

And no, that limo in the background was not for them; although it makes a nice background - lol!

Thanks for taking a peek. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

1st Communion

What a beautiful Sunday it is! Temps should get to the low 70's today. This weather really puts one in
a happy mood!
I'd rather be outdoors today, however, my son who is getting married in August is making his Confirmation today. If you are catholic, you know what that is. Which means we will be in church for most of the afternoon.
But before I start getting ready for this blessed occasion, I want to share with you a card I made for a friend who asked me to make a card for a special little lady who is making her First Communion today. Again, if you are Catholic, you know what that is too!

I took a piece of white cardstock and embossed it using Hero Arts Textured Impressions embossing folder and adhered it to a white card. I glued a strip of gray ribbon and added a bow and silver cord and topped it off with a white pearl. I had a sheet of stickers of different style crosses from another project I had worked on a few years ago so I stuck a cross sticker onto a Spellbinder's Lacy Oval die cut. Added a couple of pop-up glue dots and this is the finished card.

That is it for this Sunday - enjoy your week!

MOM, you are the best

Another Sunday and more Mothers Day cards to share. I have so many sketches in my head that I'm trying to make the cards before I forget the sketches! You are probably thinking why doesn't she write them down? I am not a good artist, I cannot draw - -at all! So I print them off and I keep them in a notebook for future reference!

Both cards are using supplies from the Authentique 'Grace' line...

Kraft cardstock from Michaels, ribbon and lace trim are from my stash, flower by Creativeco-op, adhesive pearls by K&Co.

Again I used papers from the Grace line along with the cardstock image, strip of peach cardstock from my stash and punched with a Martha Stewart punch, adhesive pearls by Zva, flower by Creativeco-op, and ribbon from Michaels.

We are experiencing some temps in the low to mid 60's here so I am debating on whether to go out and do some yard work or continue making cards? Hmmm....and I am still in my jammies sipping on a nice, warm cup of coffee...not feeling the green thumb yet.

Have a great week!

Mother

Good morning to you all! I actually woke up today to a foreign sound...it actually sounded like birds chirping!! And sunlight! Has spring finally arrived? *grin*

I have a short post this morning as I really need to get going with designing the bridal shower invitations. Below is another mothers day card I created since I already had 'stuff' laying all over my craft table.

Pattern papers are from Prima, image is from Beatriz Jennings etsy shop, Spellbinders die, ribbons from my Craft Spot, flowers from Michaels, heart stickpin from Maya Rd.
That is it from me for today. Have a great week ahead!

Mothers Day

I know. It's another month away from Mothers Day but I am getting a head start! A few friends at work have asked for them so I am trying to make as many as I can now. I am going to be very busy over the next several weeks...we have finally set a date for the bridal shower! And my lovely future DIL suggested I make the invitations and favors. But enough of that - - for now.

This first card uses Authentique papers and image from their Grace line - perfect for Mothers Day cards.

The ivory pleated trim is from Melissa Frances, ribbon and button are from my stash.  My next card uses Graphic 45 'French Country' papers and image.

Kraft cardstock is from Michaels store, stamped sentiment is from Hero Arts, ribbon is from Stampin Up, button & doily from my stash and twine is from Papertrey Ink. This last card uses pattern papers from Creative Imaginations.

White and purple cardstock are from Stampin Up along with the stamped sentiment that I embossed with Ranger's Seafoam white embossing powder, seam binding ribbon is from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, die cuts from Spellbinders and Papertrey Ink, and the heart shaped button is from my stash.

For now, that is it. It is such a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, I think I need to go out and get some fresh air, maybe clean up the backyard; vacuum out my car, sweep out the garage. Well, maybe not all of that but I can't just stay in and not take advantage of the weather!

Have a great week!

Get well soon

Happy Sunday! What a beautiful afternoon it has turned out to be.
I have a card to share with you that I am entering over at Sentimental Sundays - the theme is Get Well with a sentiment. I looked high and low for a stamp that had something to do with being ill, or a broken arm or leg or even a thermometer - I have nothing except a sentiment so that is what I worked with.

The stamped sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Card stock is from Stampin Up, pattern papers are from Graphic 45's Secret Garden line. The tiny rosebud and ribbon are from Michael's and the pearl stick pin is from Prima.

I'm off to post my card over at Sentimental Sundays - speaking of Sundays, enjoy yours!
