Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Friday! Wow, I never post on a Friday but I have been on vacation all week and have lots to share with you! But first of all, I wanted to wish you all a blessed Memorial Day on Monday. Let Memorial Day be a day to count our blessings and remember those who serve to protect our country and our freedom.

I have a few cards using the Stampin Up Butterfly Basics stamp set along with their Butterfly Thinlits die set.
Some of the cards you see on this post have been CASED. (Copy and Share Everything). A few are my own design. Please know that if I have copied an idea that was orginally yours I do thank you for your original creation and the fact that you shared it on the web. Hopefully you will consider it a compliment.

Everything used on this card is from Stampin Up - cardstock, ink and pattern paper. Twine is from my stash.

Same with this card, everything used is from Stampin Up except the vellum layered over the blue cardstock used to die cut the butterfly.

The cardstock, ink, dotted embossing folder and ribbon are all from Stampin Up. The white pearls are from Queen & Co. The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets.

The next group of cards are from the Stampin Up Painted Petals stamp set.

Card stock and ink are all Stampin Up products. The ribbon is from my stash. I don't remember which online company I ordered this from as I have 3 different suppliers that I use.

Again, cardstock and ink from Stampin Up. Ribbon and button are from my stash.

Cardstock and ink from Stampin Up. Love this sentiment which is included in the set.

Another amazing sentiment that comes with this set!

This card uses both the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Painted Petals stamp set. Pearls and twine are from Michaels Craft Store.

...more from Painted Petals. Flower from Michaels.

And last of all....the butterfly on this card was stamped and punched out using Stampin Up Papillon Potpourri stamp set and Elegant Butterfly punch. Blue and white pearls from Queen and Co. The Honeycomb embossing folder is from Stampin Up also.

That is it from me. I am off to run some errands. Keep your fingers crossed that we all have some decent weather this holiday weekend!
God bless you all~

Happy Mother's Day

I'm popping in to wish all you ladies a wonderful Mother's Day today. I hope the weather is cooperating with your plans for the day! It's on the cool side here in Chicago land with a slow, soft drizzle off and on.

Here are a few cards I made using the Stampin Up Lotus Blossom stamp set. I absolutely love this set!

The die cut butterfly is stamped and cut out using Stampin Up's Papillon Potpourri stamp set and their Elegant Butterfly punch.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.

This card was made using Stampin Up's Butterfly Thinlits and Butterfly Basics stamp set. The pattern paper is also from Stampin Up's Designer Series Best Year Ever.

One more card and that will be it - I promise! I learned a new technique using masking tape and ink pads! I should have bought a wider width of tape but this one didn't turn out too bad.

Again, I used Stampin Up's Butterfly Basic stamp set on this card too. That is it from me!
My daughter and I are going to spend some time together getting a mani-pedi! Fun times!
Happy Mothers Day

Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Sunday and a cold Sunday it is - 35 degrees and windy. It was actually sleeting earlier this morning. I wish Spring would hurry and make its appearance!
I have a couple more Easter cards to share and a birthday card.

I made this little bunny out of a circle and oval punch. Even the cute little flower is a punch! The card stock and pattern paper was in my scraps. The ribbon is from Stampin Up.

I got the idea for these 2 cards off Pinterest. Same pattern paper, just different colored card stock and the bows I tied differently on each card.

I am done with Easter cards for this year. I packed up everything pertaining to Easter and made room on my table for my next project. Whatever that may be....
But for now, I had a request for a birthday card. I pulled out my Melissa Francis "Sweet Life" and made a couple more birthday cards. You can never have too many.

I added glitter to the icing on the cupcakes to add a bit of sparkle!

The gray ribbon and flower is from my stash.
And here is a card that started out to be an Easter card but ended up a birthday card....

I embossed the green cardstock from Stampin Up with their polka dotted embossing folder. The pattern paper is from Melissa Frances and the sheer ribbon and lace is from Stamp Simply Ribbon  store. The button and pearls from my stash.
That is it from me. Looking forward to our weather warming up a bit next week!
Until next Sunday~

You crack me up!

Happy Sunday! I'm popping in with a couple of Easter cards that I've made during the last couple of weeks. Using an old stamp set from Stampin Up - and an old pack of designer paper also from Stampin' Up -

And this next card also uses the same stamp set. I used an embossing folder and ran a piece of blue cardstock through my Big Shot. I pulled out my Stampin Up colored markers and colored in the little chick (looks orange but is really yellow) and design on the large Easter egg. I shaded the sides of the eggs with blue ink.

A couple weeks ago I made a birthday card  following a tutorial on a blog I came across not too long ago.  I think it's called a gate fold card? It was very easy and I had a lot of fun making it!

The card stock, stamp set and glitter is from Stampin Up, and pattern paper is an old design from Melissa Frances.
I started the same style card but made it an Easter themed card. I haven't finished it yet but will have it ready for next post!
Enjoy your week ahead. They're calling for more snow for Tuesday - wah wah!!!

With Sympathy

Happy March everyone! In a few short weeks, spring will be here - yippee! I am so anxious for the snow to melt and tulips to break through the frozen ground!
I have been busy making another pocket mini album. This last one has a Valentine theme and unfortunately I didn't finish it on time. As soon as it is, I will post a few pictures of it and put it away  for next year.
For now, I have a few sympathy cards to post. I find I never have any when I need them as I did last week. So once I got started, I made 3 to keep when needed.

All 3 cards uses stamps from the Stampin Up set Thoughts and Prayers. All card stock used is from Stampin Up too. Ribbons and pearls are from my stash. Border punch is from Martha Steward, die cut butterfly is from MFT.

And here is a birthday card I made for my younger sister who celebrated her special day Feb 9th.

Once again, I used a newer stamp set from Stampin Up called Sheltering Tree.

Because we have had the coldest February on record, I kept the branches bare and stamped snow flakes and added sparkle to them.
You may not be able to see it in the above photo, but I added a patch of snow by stamping the image in versamark and added glitter. The sentiment is from a Crafty Secrets set called Grand Greetings.

That is it from me. Enjoy your week!
