You make me smile...

Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax. I have been very busy since my last post! These first two cards were made for a couple of December birthdays coming up. Melissa Frances papers, die cuts, frame and flowers are used along with some Prima flowers - ribbon is from My Craft Spot.

This next card is also for a birthday coming up this month - once again papers, die cut, and tag are from Melissa Frances and ribbon is from My Craft Spot.

The metal heart on the bow that says 'Best Friend' is from my late siste's stash of buttons and bling that I inherited - it was very hard to part with that!
These next few cards are more Christmas cards~papers are from an old Christmas collection by Daisey D, ski girl image is from Pretty Little Studio, ribbon from My Craft Spot, button from my stash.

Same thing here - snow flake is from a punch I have that I glittered up..

Paper and die cut are again from Pretty Little Sudio, ribbons from My Craft Spot.

This next card has papers from Daisey D, die cut image from Crafty Secrets. The star I cut out from my own stash of chip board, glittered it up and glued a button onto the star and adhered it to the image. Ribbon and button are from my stash, twine from PTI.

And finally this last card uses papers, bingo card and die cut image from Pretty Little Studio. I glittered up the snow flake (Maya Road) and added a strip of trim at the top.

I won't bore you with more cards, but I had so much fun making these as I just love Christmas. I wish I could do this full time! Maybe when I win the lotto....sigh!!
I am off with my daughter to get a bit of Christmas shopping done...oh what fun!!
Have a wonderful weekend

A lazy Sunday

What a nice weekend it has been so far. My thanksgiving dinner turned out tasty - I actually did not burn anything this year! After dinner we went to my baby sister's house along with the rest of the family and shared desserts and beverages. Just a laid-back kind of evening!
A couple of my sisters came by Saturday afternoon and we hunkered down in the craft room and made a few cards, shared ideas and had a nice time. Here are a few cards I made ~

It's kind of hard to tell the color of the lighter cardstock but it's silver, medium blue and lt. blue. The silver ribbon is from Stampin Up, cardstock from Bazzil, button and white trim from my stash. The image is from the "Children's Christmas" collage pack by TJ Designs.

This next card uses pattern papers from Graphic 45, gems, twine and pom pom trim are from my stash and the image is from Beatriz Jennings Etsy shop.

And my last card basically is the same - I just used a different image from the same collage paper and used creme satin ribbon, button and lace from my stash.

That is it for me tonight. I'm off the whole week and plan to do a lot of cardmaking and perhaps a couple of mini albums...I hope :)
Have a great evening ~

more christmas cards...

Happy Sunday. I am sure looking forward to a short work week coming up! And spending time with family and friends for the holidays. And best of all, I am off the whole week after Thanksgiving. I plan to pull out all the Christmas stuff and start to decorate the house.

I have 2 more cards to share with you tonight, the first one using another sweet image from  Pretty Little Studio.

Pattern papers and JOY bingo card are also from the Pretty Little Studio. The ribbon is from My Craft Spot.

This next card is using Melissa Frances papers and die cuts. I combined both last years and this years christmas lines. The ribbon, lace antique jingle bell and twine are from my stash. I made the chip board heart and star, painted and glittered them up.

That is it from me for tonight. I will have more to share next week since I will be on vacation - a stay-at-home vacation - those are the best!
Have a good night and rest of the week~

Christmas...

Hi everyone!
I am popping in tonight to share a couple of cards I made with pattern papers and adorable little images from Pretty Little Studio. I love these sweet images - a feeling of nostalgia going back to the 1950's and 60's.

The 'Merry Christmas' rub on is from Kaisercraft and the ribbon and button are from my stash. The white and red cardstock is from Stampin Up.

Isn't she just adorable? She reminds me of a ceramic figurine my mom had painted many years ago as part of a set of christmas carolers. Again, this sweet image and pattern paper is from Pretty Little Studio, white and red cardstock is from Stampin Up, pearls from Hero Arts, button, gem, and ribbon are from my stash.

I promised myself I would not buy any new scrapbooking items this year.....oh my, I have kept UPS very busy these last few weeks! I will be back to post more cards!
Have a good week end ~

Fall is in the air

What a beautiful fall day we are having today - finally the rain has stopped and the sun actually popped out today.
I started some halloween cards - finally! Here are a couple I made ~ this first one I made with my godson in mind - for some odd reason, he likes the skull and crossbones!!

I used the Lost & Found Halloween line by My Mind's Eye along with some of the layered stickers that go with this line.
This next card uses some pattern paper from Little Yellow Bicycle's halloween line - BooVille, along with a Crafty Secret image from their Halloween Images & Journal Notes.

The black and purple cardstock, halloween ribbon, seam binding ribbon and gems are from my stash.

And my last card for tonight uses pattern papers from Graphic 45, die cuts from Papertrey Ink's Spider Webs and Limitless Layers 2 1/2 circle collection. And a Martha Stewart pumpkin cardstock sticker.

Tonight it's just me and my daughter spending a Saturday night together, doing our nails, giving ourselves facials, and a movie!
Have a great weekend!

October birthdays

What a gloomy, wet and rainy day it is here in Chicagoland - perfect day to stay in your jammies and play in your craft space which is what I have been doing this morning.
I have 2 birthday cards to show you -

This first one uses the Dear Lizzy Neopolitan pattern papers along with a coordinating ephemera flower. The ribbon and button are from my stash. This card was sent to my friend out east whom I made the baby mini album for that I posted about last week.

This card was made for my baby sister - she is celebrating her birthday today. The cardstock is from Stampin Up, patter paper is from the Graphic 45's  Little Darling line. The flower sticker is from Dear Lizzy which I sprinkled some glitter from Stampin Up on the edges. The tag punch is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is Papertrey Ink. Ribbon, button and gem are from my stash.

Now it's time to clean up the craft space and pull out my halloween supplies! Can't wait to get started - some ideas are swimming around in my head...

Baby boy...

Happy Sunday! It has been quite some time since I last posted. I haven't really done much card making these past few weeks. But that has not prevented me from ordering lots of new goodies from all my favorite online stores.

Most of what I have been stocking up on is for Halloween which is but 2-3 weeks away! I love Halloween but unfortunately I don't make alot of cards but 2 or 3. I do make treat bags for the people I work with and for my nephews. I can't wait to get started. What I have been working on is a mini album for a friend of mine who is going to be a grandma for the first time. As soon as she told me it was a boy, I started gathering all my supplies and went to work creating this mini album to send her!

I pulled out my Graphic 45's "Little Darlings" 8x8 paper pad and all my ribbons, lace, buttons, and gems from my stash and started mixing and matching.

I added some Crafty Secrets, Melissa Frances and Heidi Swapp embellishments along with a doily and some pompom trim I found in my ribbon drawer!

I went light on the layering and the double bows since I have to pack it and mail it to the east coast where my friend lives. I hate when I make the perfect bow only for it to get smashed when you slide a card into an envelope. In this case, layering chipboard over chipboard. By the way, it pays off to save your cereal and oatmeal boxes!
All in all, this 8x8 mini album turned out to be 10 pages thick. I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it. Once her daughter has the baby, and sends pictures, she'll be able to fill up the album!

That is it for me. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
