Up and Away

Good Sunday afternoon!
I have a couple of cards to share today using a new bundle of stamps and dies by Stampin Up called Up and Away. The stamp set can be used for just about any occasion. I decided to make my nephews valentine cards using this set.

I used red cardstock for the base and layered a piece of white cardstock on top of the red and die cut a circle; then added a piece of pattern paper from Stampin Up's Stacked with Love tablet of paper and adhered it to a piece of black card stock and adhered that to the bottom half of the front of the card.
I stamped a hot air balloon in red ink and used one of the die in the set to cut it out. I added clear Wink of Stella to the red stripes. You can see it better in the top picture.
For the inside of the card, I stamped hot air balloons in navy and green inks and the clouds were stamped in navy ink. I also added Wink of Stella to parts of the clouds and balloons.

My second card was taken from a card I saw on Pinterest. Again using red cardstock for my base, layering light gray and white panels on top.

I die cut a hot air balloon using dark gray cardstock; backing red behind it and adding red gems to the center.

I die cut a heart and added a crystal gem and adhered it to the panel making it look as if the balloon is pulling the heart through the air!

Now off to think of a design for baby's first Valentine!!
Have a good week ahead - N~
