May Birthdays

Hello there! Today's cards are for 2 of many May birthdays I have to celebrate. This first one is for my son Jake who turned 31 yesterday.

I used Stampin Up's World Traveler embossing folder and shaded the raised embossed parts with light brown ink. I adhered it to a piece of a mustard color card stock.

I took the coordinating stamp set, Going Global and stamped the image with mossy green ink on turquoise card stock. I added a gold brad to the center. Using the coordinating pattern paper, Going Places, I cut 2 banners and adhered them on top of the embossed panel along with the banner with the sentiment, Happy Day. I adhered the image with foam adhesive squares to the banners. Here is the finished card.

This next card is for my high school best friend. Her birthday is tomorrow and we'll celebrate it over dinner one night that is good for both of us.
I used the Stampin' Up Beautiful You stamp set. This set is gorgeous and one I'll be turning to often.
I stamped the image in versa mark on water color paper and heated with silver embossing powder. Then I water colored the hat in yellow, her skirt in blue and her top in tan. I stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up Soft Suede ink. I adhered the water color image to a piece of blue card stock.
My card base is made from light blue card stock. I mounted pattern paper from the Fallin in Love paper pad (Stampin' Up) to a piece of ivory card stock and tied a piece of lacy ribbon around the panel and adhered it to the front of the card.  I adhered the watercolor panel to the front of the card.

That is all from me for now.
Enjoy your week ahead.
