Thinking of you

Good Sunday morning! I'm sharing another card I made a few weeks ago while taking my stay-cation(stay at home vacation). Using the Avant-Garden stamp set by Stampin Up again -

I stamped the flower, stem and leaves on white cardstock and cut it out using a circle framelit. I adhered it to a blue scalloped circle die cut. I stamped another flower and leaf, fussy cut them, and popped it up on top of the stamped image. I added some Wink of Stella on the flower which you can't see in the picture.  I cut a  1 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of pattern paper from the Painted Blooms designer paper (Stampin Up) and adhered it to the left side of the card front.

I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner. I then glued the back of the card to a piece of matching blue cardstock which you can't see in the picture.
After I took the pictures, I added some crystal gems onto the circle die cut.

That's all from me today. Thanks for peeking in at my little blog! Have a great week ahead!

Love is in the air!

Good Sunday to you! I'd like to share another card I made as part of the 'assortment' of cards  I made last week. I'm sure a lot of you do this - go on Pinterest for ideas? Lately it seems I am not creative at all. I pick out a stamp set or a collection of pattern paper, search for it on Pinterest and look at all the cards and mini albums made with either stamp set or paper.
This card I took off Pinterest and changed it up by using a different color scheme. I used the Stampin Up Carried Away Designer Series Paper and Lift Me Up stamp set with matching thinlits. I used silver cardstock to cut out the hot air balloon and the heart was punched out from a scrap of silver foiled cardstock. It actually changes color and sparkles when you move the card this way and that way!

I plan to mail this card to the daughter of a friend of mine who got married a few weekends ago. A very sweet couple!
I've been missing my grandson these past few days- his mommy took him to North Carolina with her parents to spend a few days at the beach. Here are a few pictures she sent to me. Enjoy!

 His first airplane ride
I wonder what he is staring at?

It was a breezy day - look at his hair!

Summer time fun

I have been off all week and am finally spending my last day of vacation in my craft room making cards...lots of cards. I had planned on spending every day making an assortment of cards to have when I needed them. Plans changed... I had my grandson every day, all day. What a joy it was! Even better, my godson Aiden came and stayed over night! We had gorgeous weather here too. Here's a pic of the 3 of us spending time in the sunshine!

One more to share - at the zoo.

Here is a card I made for a friend celebrating a July birthday -

I took a panel of Pool Party cardstock by Stampin Up, dry embossed it, wrapped a ribbon around the panel, made a double looped bow and adhered it to the front of a white card.

Using the Avant-Garden stamp set from Stampin Up, I stamped the flower and foilage on to a stitched circle framelit die cut and adhered it to the embossed panel.
I stamped the sentiment on a hand-made tag, sponged the edges and adhered it to the lower right corner.

Have a good week ahead~
