The Paper Players #255

Have you ever started out making a card with something in mind and have it turn out totally different? I had gotten a new paper collection and really wanted to make a card with it. I had chosen the papers that I wanted to use, lost my mojo, went back to visit my favorite blogs to get some very much needed inspiration and came across this challenge. So, here we are!

Here is my card:

This is the Vintage Autumn Basics by Maja Design. The tag cut-out also is part of the paper collection. I adhered a piece of the pattern paper to white cardstock and adhered it to the card base which is Stampin Up Bravo Burgundy. I then used dimensionals to pop up the tag. I die cut the side trim using another piece of the pattern paper. Added some self-adhesive pearls to the die cut trim, ribbon and a Melissa Frances flower to the tag.
Thanks for taking a peek at my little blog and your comments are always appreciated! Have yourself a great week ahead!

PPA Challenge #260 - You Rock

Happy Sunday! I'm popping in with a card to enter over at the Pals Paper Arts challenge #PPA260.

Here is this week's sketch:

PPA260

My card consists of all Stampin Up products. I used their new 2015-2017 In Color cardstock and ink along with the Cherry on Top pattern paper.

I used the circle and scallop punch in addition to punching out the butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly punch along with the Bitty Butterfly punch. The "You Rock" sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Crazy About You" stamp set.

Next month is chock full of birthdays. I will be once again hosting the August birthdays celebrations at my house. Some lucky birthday girl will be receiving a gift card to one of her favorite stores. And I made this gift card holder to put the card in:

Cardstock: 6-5/8″ x 4-1/4″     Score @ 2-3/8″ & 4-7/8″
Pattern paper: 4″ x 1-1/2″ and  4″ x  2-1/4″
You can tie a ribbon around the holder to keep it shut or use Velcro as I did in the above picture.
That is it from me. Enjoy your week!

You make each day a little bit brighter

Boy did the week fly by! Especially these sta-vacations! I did manage to get quite a bit done on my to-do list. Here is one of many cards I made during my week off.

The sentiment is from an old stamp set from Stampin Up called Friendships Grow and is stamped in Perfect Plum ink.

The stamped images are from Stampin Up stamp set Kinda Eclectic. I stamped these images in Baja Breeze and Perfect Plum ink onto white card stock which is adhered to a shade of green cs. I adhered this to Baja Breeze and Perfect Plum card stock. I stamped and punched out the butterflies using 2 different size punches, layered them over the sun burst stamped image and adhered 2 self adhesive pearls onto the smaller butterfly. Lastly, I added some candy dots from the subtle color collection by Stampin Up.
Have a good week ahead.

Freshly Made Sketches #194

I found another challenge blog called Freshly Made Sketches or FMS for short. These challenge blogs sure get the creative juices flowing!  Here is the sketch:

I will be entering this card -

I embossed the upper half of the card with my Simply Scored board and stylus, scoring every 1/4".

I bought this stamp a long time ago and came across it while cleaning out some 'stuff' in my craft room. I finally got to use it! It's by Verses Rubber Stamps. I stamped it using Real Red ink from Stampin' Up. The self-adhesive crystal gem above the 'i' is from Hero Arts. I also punched out a little star.
The pattern paper, from my box of scraps, is adhered to white cardstock which I punched out using EK Success 1 1/2" square punch and popped them up using Stampin' Up's dimensionals. The star was die cut from Real Red cardstock using Stampin Up's Star thinlets. I finished it off by tying blue and white twine around it with a bow.

Bye for now - I just may be popping in again should I come across another challenge blog!

The cardstock is from Stampin Up along with the pattern paper used to make the banners. The happy birthday die cuts are Spellbinders Die D-Lites.

#2 Card Concept #38

I am popping in with one more card to enter into the challenge at The Card Concept. I just love these colors together! It started out to be a clean and simple card but with the embossing, ribbons and flowers, it's more shabby style.

I used the Stampin Up stamp set Lotus Blossom and stamped it with Basic Grey and Yoyo Yellow.

I love this 3 step stamp set! I layered it on top of yoyo yellow cardstock and adhered it to a piece of white embossed cardstock which was layered on top of basic grey cardstock.

The ribbon and flowers are from my stash.
That is it from me for awhile!

The Card Concept #38 {A Colour Challenge}

Happy belated 4th of July to all the USA crafters out there! We had beautiful weather for all the celebrations going on in our area!

I am sharing a card that I will be entering into the Card Concept color challenge. It's their last one for the summer and since I am on vacation this week, I am spending lots of time in my craft room!

Since I have a few weddings coming up next month, I thought I would make a copy of the same card I posted a few weeks ago except I added the color yellow to this one. I went for the clean and layered look.
I used Stampin Up's white, gray and yellow cardstock and die cut the butterflies using their thinlit dies. The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets. The self adhesive pearls are from Hero Arts.
Enjoy your week!
